INDIGO DESIGN AWARD WINNING PROJECT IN EDITORIAL CATEGORY
Un Sedicesimo is an Italian zine. It is not a traditional magazine, since it hasn’t got an editorial office nor a fixed design. In this issue, I covered the topic of Plastic Pollution and its risks.
This zine is a genuine typographical essay, based on a plastic hairbrush toy from the 50s that was found in Abruzzo, Italy, in the summer of 2019.
In my design, I was inspired by the Swiss Design that was very popular in the 50s, and also other visual styles from the era. I worked with a special mint color paper that creates an oceanic feeling, together with the blue color.
This project was created as part of the Visual Brand Design program at Domus Academy, Milan, Italy, supervised by Elisa Chiodo, in the fall of 2019
